Lost 56 – 66. Won one rink which was played with Gerry Field, Stephanie Lowder, Barry Bagwell and Peter Esseen. They won 21 – 11. This was still an excellent match for us as we only lost by 10 points. Llantwit Major are top of the league and have been from the start of the season. A very pleasurable match with lovely people. The game was played hard with excellent shots from both sides. The score did not reflect how we played but that is how the game of bowls goes. One rink saved themselves from a high score defeat as on at least 4-5 ends the opposition were holding 5 or 6 woods. We would then come in and get a wood in amongst them and reduced them to winning 1 wood. A very tough but enjoyable match. A lovely time together after the match for a pastie and drink.
