What a fabulous afternoon. Lost by 20 points 62-82 one of the closest defeats we have had. We had a fantastic welcome from Murch players. While we all took the game seriously and we all wanted to win there was great camaraderie, fun and friendly banter during the game. The weather was excellent with the sun shining and it was nice and warm. One of our rinks won which was led by Andy Davies and with him were Peter Bagwell, Maurice Cox and Malcolm Thomas. They won their rink 23-10. Another rink was very close and this match was back and fore with a point in it when the Murch players came through. They started knocking our woods off the jack and they won by just 4 points. All our players enjoyed the game and the afternoon. There was a lot of laughter after the game when we all got together for food and a drink. Very much looking forward to welcoming them to Belle Vue for our return match.
