First time we have put a ladies team together. We had two rinks of 4. Out of our 8 players we had 1 who was playing her first ever match, 2 who were playing in positions they have not played before and one of these ladies has only played five matches to date.

While we lost this match 22 – 39, we certainly put up a good fight and were not far behind in the scoring. One of the rinks were well in the match and were only 11-17 down until the last but one end when Windsor scored an 8. This was a blow but showed how close we were. We are all new players this season and we were playing a very experienced ladies team from Windsor. This was a big learning curve for us as we have never played a ladies match, as we always play in the mixed team. There was a lot of difference in how the game is played and we were learning new rules as we were going along. We did not give up and kept working hard. We certainly did ourselves, and we hope, the club proud.
