This was the second away match to be played. While we had a significant loss it was a huge learning curve for new players.

The green was very fast which did not really suit our players. They found that they were bowling too long and were trying very hard to adjust. The home players were very good bowlers.

On one of the rinks three of the opposition players just grouped their bowls around the Jack each time. One of the players, a girl, was going for Welsh Bowling trials the following day. We wish her the very best of luck and look forward to hearing how she did.

The standard of play from Barry Athletic was high across all rinks.

The weather while sunny and hot in most places was surprisingly cold. The wind was coming across the sea.

They looked after us well where at the end we had a nice drink, pasty and a raffle.
