Life Member Dave Miller has had to retire from his beloved club after 38 years of loyal service.  As a life member he will always be connected to the club and support the club for the rest of his life.

His dedication to the club and constant availability has known no bounds.  He has formed many friendships over the years.  Dave was part of the team that won the Munro Cup 3 years running in the late 80’s.  He saw Belle Vue Bowls promoted in the Cardiff and District League from the 6^th Division and eventually to the 3rd Division.

Not only was Belle Vue Bowls Club important to him but prior to joining the Club he was the Belle Vue Park Keeper in the 1970’s.  It was while doing this that he developed his love and passion for bowling.

Fifty years ago Dave planted a fir sapling in the grounds of Belle Vue Park, just outside the bowling green, and you can see in the photograph that this is Dave standing by the tree 50 years later.
